New Castle Hotels & Resorts’ Professional Chosen from Over 400 Candidates
NORWALK, CONN. – March 24, 2010 – Irene Dixon, director of sales and marketing at the Hilton Garden Inn Norwalk has been named Director of Sales of the Year for the entire Hilton Garden Inn brand. Dixon was chosen from among more than 400 potential candidates around the world.
Winners of the prestigious award must meet high sales achievement standards, show a history of embracing the brand’s sales initiatives, and display consistent positive impact on customers, guests, their department, teammates, hotel and community, among other criteria, according to the brand’s nominating instructions circulated to general managers in late 2009. Dixon’s general manager, Kevin Viteri, nominated her for the honor. She will attend the prestigious Circle of Excellence Awards Ceremony in Florida.
Dixon has deep roots in the Norwalk region, where she has worked in hospitality sales for more than a decade. She joined New Castle Hotels & Resorts, which owns and manages the high-performing 170-room Hilton Garden Inn, Norwalk, in 2006. “Joining New Castle Hotels and Resorts was one of the best career decisions I have ever made,” Dixon said. “They have given me the support I need to ensure the success of our property.
