DESCRIPTION: The Limestone Grille, one of Central New York's most innovative Contemporary American restaurants, has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager. This person will work closely with the General Manager in all aspects of the Front of the House operation, overseeing Dining Room, Lounge and Banquet departments. They will oversee and supervise all service staff, ensuring first class customer service and food and beverage quality, while helping to drive sales and control costs. Exceptional guest service skills are mandatory. Will participate in all areas of staff training and education. Competent computer skills are required, as is a high level of product knowledge, in particular as it relates to wines and spirits. Must be in sound physical health and able to assist in set-up and pre-event handling of banquet room sets.
EXPERIENCE: *- 3 to 5 years previous front of the House experience in guest driven, fine dining venues; previous supervisory experience much preferred.
*- Strong communications skills and cooperative demeanor
*- A high level of enthusiasm and a genuine interest in and a passion for restaurant hospitality
*- Exceptional organizational skills, a hands-on philosophy and a good personal accountability
*-Excellent computer skills, an command of web-based social network capabilities, and an understanding of other sales driving IT arenas
*- Good physical health, with the ability to lift over 35 lbs furniture pieces, assist in banquet set-ups, assist with product stocking and other physical activities.
